Types of classes offered at Sacramento City College | |
Online | A student is not required to be physically on campus except for orientation and exams. A student does homework and works tutorials using a PC computer. Most communication with the instructor is via email or online discussion boards. |
Hybrid | In-class lectures are supplemented by computer-based learning. A student typically spends half time in a classroom and half time working on their own. |
Computer Assisted | The class meets in a computer lab and all students work on a computer. Traditional lectures are supplemented by individualized assistence. The class meets the same number of hours as a traditional lecture class. |
Traditional Lecture | Students meet in a regular classroom 1 hour per week for each unit. Homework may be done on paper or may be done online depending on the individual instructor. |

types of classes they will have a better chance at success, at completing the course with the best
possible grade.
