Fractal Forge V 2.8.2 Installation

Install:

There is no need for an installation program for Fractal Forge on Microsoft Windows. It requires no registry or other MS Windows specific entries.

You just copy all the files in the ff_282.zip file to any directory and launch the FractalForge.exe program from there.

All the parts of the program come in a zip format compressed file called "ff_282.zip"
Open this file with any zip utility. Windows XP has zip decompression built in. If you are running XP, just double click on the ff_282.zip file and it will open in a directory window. You can then select all the files and copy them to some directory on your hard disk. If you are not running XP, then you need a shareware program like WinZip or a free program like 7-Zip to open the file.

Once you have copied all the files to some directory, just double click on the file called
"FractalForge.exe" to launch the Fractal Forge program.
If you wish to have a shortcut icon to launch the program, just right click on the FractalForge.exe file and choose "Create Shortcut" from the menu. Copy the shortcut file to anywhere you wish such as the desktop or the Start menu. You may wish to rename the shortcut to a shorter name than the default.

These are the contents of the zip file ff_282.zip when opened by default MS Windows XP zip decompression. Select All these files and copy to a directory of your choice on your hard disk. The file in the center "FractalForge.exe" is the one you will double click to launch the program

Uninstall:

To uninstall, just delete all the files in the directory where you put them. Then delete any shortcut icons you have created. That's all you have to do. Fractal Forge is not listed in the Control Panel Add/Remove list.
